At the acquisition of the property the work really began. Joel Dickinson built over 42 miles of 5 wire, barb and electric fence to develop 45 separate pastures. This allows the use of 18 sires during breeding seasons with pasture rotation and hay fields.
There are 17 lakes on the ranch from 1 acre to 10 acres in size. All are spring fed except one. Fresh water is a great asset for rapid growing cattle and herd health.
Belmont County Ohio (Belmont is taken from a word meaning "beautiful mountain.") is known for 4 distinct seasons. The fall colors are awesome. Numerous cattle buyers view the herds at Autumn.
